The Best Smoked BBQ Beans

1 pound thick bacon chopped and sauteed
1 small onion, chopped
1 Green Bell Pepper Diced
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/3 cup Jack Daniel’s® Tennessee Whiskey
2 cans (56 ounces) baked beans
1 tablespoon spicy brown mustard
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons your favorite BBQ rub
Cook the Bacon in a large saucepan. Stir in the onion and bell pepper and brown sugar.
Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the onion and pepper are soft and golden brown, about 5 minutes. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Place it in your bean pot or a pan, and place that in your smoker and heat through uncoverd. |
