Ingredients:
1 # Macaroni Cooked
2 # Cheese (cheddar/jack/Parmesan)
¼ Cup Butter
½ Cup Flour
7 T Chicken Base
4 Cups Milk
4 Cups Water
In a sauce pan met the butter and add the flour, make a blond roux. When roux is made add the milk, water, and chicken base. simmer till thick enough to cover the back of a spoon (sauce) Taste it and add salt and pepper if needed. Place the sauce in the bowl with the cooked noodles, stir till coated. Start adding cheese and stirring till cheese is even through the sauce and noodles. Pour into a oiled or buttered baking pan. top with topping and bake for 45 minutes till topping is golden brown and sauce is bubbling. Note if you like a bottom crust add seasoned bread crumbs to the buttered pan prior to adding noodles.
Topping:
¼ Cup Butter
2 Cups Cheddar Cheese
2 Cups Panko Bread Crumbs
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Pepper
Creole seasoning if you like a little kick.
