Bacon Caramel

1 cup rendered bacon fat (you can filter out the little flakes and bits or leave them)
2 ΒΌ Cups Brown Sugar
1 Cup Light Corn Syrup
1 - 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
1 T Vanilla or Maple Flavoring

Melt the fat, add the brown sugar, corn syrup, and milk. Over medium high heat stir the caramel constantly till the temperature reaches 245 degrees, this takes about 12-15 minutes. Remove the caramel from the heat and add the flavoring. Place the caramel in a buttered pan and let cool. If you want a caramel sauce, cook it to 235 degrees. ENJOY!!!
