Filling
6 Large granny smith apples sliced
Zest and juice of 1 lemon
¾ C Brown Sugar
1 oz Triple sec
3 T Corn Starch
½ stick butter chopped up
In a medium bowl, combine the apples, butter, sugar, juice, and zest. Toss well. Pour into a buttered #10 Dutch Oven.
Topping
1 Cup Flour
1 Cup uncooked Oats
1-Teaspoon Cinnamon
¼ Teaspoon clove
½ Cup Brown Sugar
1 stick butter
Vanilla Ice Cream or Cool Whip
In a bowl, combine the flour, oats, cinnamon, clove, and brown sugar. Cut in the butter using a dough cutter till the butter is in pea size pieces. Sprinkle over filling and bake. Serve with the ice cream. |
